Today's note:

1) Got invited by the U.S. Embassy to meet Alec Ross today...I feel so lucky! And honored! It was a very quick meeting, so there isn't really much to share here...and too bad I was too shy to take a picture with him hehe...

2) Someone said I'm "mentally-ill" for the way I dress. Woahh. There's clearly a big difference between "being artsy, playful and expressive", and "mentally-ill". And the latter itself is an illness, you know? So saying that is really inappropriate. Nevertheless, everyone has their own opinions, yes? I'm really comfortable with myself, and that makes me happy hihihi...

4) Became Keenan's babysitter for half a day...I loooooooove my nephew! Muahh!!! He's 1 year old btw...:)

Winter 2010-2011 Must Have: The Fur Vest

The fur vests make a strong come back this season. It is a universal attire that looks elegant or trendy casual, depending on the items paired with it.

How to Wear A Fur Vest:

Pair faux or real fur vests with skinny jeans, shiny leggings, slim pants, shorts or a flirty dress. Remember that whatever you pair it with should be slim fitting to counteract the bulk of the waistcoat. If worn improperly you will look bigger than you actually are, which is no good.
Try peep-toe ankle boots for a chic look or ballet shoes for a casual look.

Faux fur comes in a great number of colors and patterns. Brown and gray color fur vests allow more color gradations and have more visual interest. Black and white fur vests tend to look flat, unless you wear the long-haired one. There are mock-neck, v-neck, or fold-down collar fur vests. Fur vest is a fun item that looks great with many items in your wardrobe! Wearing strong prints such as zebra or leopard for the fur vest may be a little overpowering and are best reserved for shoes or accessory items instead.

Key To The Board

I felt reaaaallllyyy sad today that I couldn't stop crying...I stupidly worked and ate at the same time that I actually spilled spaghetti sauce over my laptop keyboard and hurt the system...sigh. Tried to get it repaired but got told that I had to replace the keyboard with a new one...gadgets are expensive, you know? :'(

Lesson of the day:

1. Everything has their own place and time. Dining table is for eating. Desk is for working.
2. Multitasking is great. But one thing at a time might be wiser sometimes.
3. Gadgets are fragile. More fragile than our hearts.
4. Crying is good. It makes you feel better afterwards.
5. This is what happens when I skip my prayers.

Forgive me Allah...as for now, I'll be using a mini external keyboard...
